Saggar Fired Fat Bird & Baby Bird

$0.00
sold out

Made by making a pinch pot into a ball.

Smooth out and make a hand, beak and tail.

Once leather hard applied 5x coats of Terra Sigillata to the surface polishing with plastic wrap in between each coat to give the smooth shiny surface.

The Birds were then fired in a saggar box of saw dust in the kiln.

This ‘Fat Bird’ was the first piece I made when returning to Pottery in 2012 - therefore it is NOT FOR SALE.
